The College of Dentistry, Ajman University, has an opening for the position of Adjunct Specialist Instructor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery starting Spring semester 2023-2024

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate with a MSc. /Ph.D. from a reputable university
• 5 years’ experience with master degree in the field.
• Experience in dental clinical teaching
• Active MOH license if the duty is in the clinics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting the mission, goals, policies, and activities of the institution.
• Teaching and training of students and interns within the practical sessions (Clinics and labs) at the institution and in its affiliated hospitals and health facilities.
• Consulting or engaging in academic activities that enhance scholarship and professionalism within the institution.
• Adjunct clinical lecturers are expected to help in demonstrations and to provide the course instructor with support in their clinical training and academic activities.
• Organize and manage instructional resources, course outline, and community networks
• Ensure a respectful and culturally sensitive learning environment in all college-focused activities
• Motivate and inspire confidence in others (students and colleagues) to overcome limitations to personal growth and success
• Actively seek out methods, procedures, and resources to best achieve course and lesson objectives in the practical part of the courses
• Maintain relationships with students that are conducive to learning
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Familiarity with the “Credit Hour” academic system
• Ability to supervise student work.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse team members
