Assistant Professor in Psychology

Assistant Professor in Psychology - College of Humanities and Sciences 

The College of Humanities and Sciences, Ajman University, has an opening for the position of Assistant/Associate and Professor in Psychology starting Fall semester 2022-2023.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1. PhD in General Psychology from an accredited university in UAE.
2. The applicant must have at least (3) years of experience in teaching in an academic institution applying the credit hour system.
3. The applicant should have published papers in journals within the global databases (Scopus).
4. The applicant must be fluent in both Arabic and English (Arabic is a must).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and deliver courses to students in specified discipline areas of study, considering and aiming to achieve the three (3) fundamental standards of the University, those are: Teaching, Research and Services
2. Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success.
3. Research, organize and manage instructional resources, courses outlines, and community networks.
4. Actively seek out methods, procedures and resources to best achieve course objectives.
5. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities.
6. Support and participate in accreditation initiatives. 
7. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
2. Excellent in developing and delivering presentation.
3. Excellent in creating, composing and editing written materials.
4. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
5. Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
6. Program planning and implementation skills.
